Mad for Paper

I created this card a couple of days ago.   It is one of those that came out better than I had visualized.   It may be on my short list of all time faves.   The background stamp by Penny Black certainly is.   It is called Damask Pattern and the texture and detail are incredible.  I have always been drawn to Damask patterns.  Not sure why but I just love the richness of them. The butterfly die is a new Cherry Lynn die I recently purchased at a local craft store. Again, the detail is just stunning. The frame on the card is SU Elegant Eggplant.  As is the ink used on the background.  the picture makes the frame look much darker than it actuially is. I love the way this card came out! I saw this sketch over at The Craft's Meow Store Blog.   I liked how it had the tag on it.  So I stamped an image from a Craft's Meow set I have and it was way to big to fit on a tag and then on a card.  So I made the entire card the tag.    I wanted to use my Spellbinders Postage Stamps dies;  not sure where the idea of using the cork came from but I kind of like it.
